It's a major election year with newly drawn legislative districts and many new candidates running for office!
Transportation issues and funding will be decided by tomorrow's elected officials. Please help us raise the profile of transportation among the many other issues the legislature will deal with in 2023.
Minnesota's transportation system continues to be underfunded and we will need increased state matching funds to compete for federal dollars under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). In addition, the legislature did not pass a capital bonding bill during the 2022 Session while leaving a surplus of over $9 billion on the table.
The Minnesota Transportation Alliance is teaming up with local organizations to bring our members and local business leaders together with candidates for state office to share information about local projects and needs.
